Memorial Illustrations
Helping honor loved ones since 2014
I’ve been a graphic designer since 2008, expanding my skill set across many platforms as I’ve progressed in my career. I started designing memorial illustrations in 2014 when my grandfather’s final wishes were for his tombstone to include our full family tree on the back with custom illustrations on the front. His requests were beyond what our funeral home offered. The relationships I built creating his designs presented the opportunity for me to help others who wanted more personalization—my grandfather helping me help others even after he passed, very him!
See below for examples of the designs I’ve created over the years. Some are based on descriptions or images provided to me, while others are recreations of elements from family plot designs based on physical rubbings and photographs, or recreations of old fonts to add additional carvings to an existing stone. All designs were created with carving/etching limitations in mind.
I’d love to help you offer personalization.
Let’s work together!
